Amidst rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Sporting Clube de Portugal, the football star has bought a luxurious mansion in his homeland, which is said to be Portugal’s most expensive home. After the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, Ronaldo, as reported by several publications, may leave Manchester United and return to Sporting CP, the club where he began his career. This could possibly be one of the reasons why he bought a new home in Portugal.
The three-floor mansion, which is 40 km from Lisbon, has an indoor area of 2,720 square meters and an outdoor area of 544 square meters with lots of open space and a large swimming pool, per Sportskeeda. The south-facing location offers mesmerising views of the Atlantic Ocean and comes with an elevator and solar panels. The garage can accommodate up to 20 cars.
As per MARCA, the mansion is valued at $11 million (Rs 90 crore approx), but with all the refurbishing, the value will go up to a whopping $21 million (Rs 173 crore approx). As per Sportskeeda, the villa is being re-designed by Ronaldo’s wife Georgina Rodriguez and friend Paulo Brito. Brito has decorated all of Ronaldo’s other homes. An exclusive Louis Vuitton mural to Italian marbles, the details of the villa are ultra-luxurious.
A winner of five Ballon d’Or awards and four European Golden Shoes, Ronaldo’s net worth is close to $500 million (Rs 4,124 crore approx), per Mirror.uk. With 493 million followers, the 37-year-old is the most followed person on Instagram, where one endorsement post fetches him Rs 19 crore, per Forbes India.
